zrszach
I am looking for a good book about types film stocks and filters used, and about what they do for the look of a film and how they can be used. If possible a book with pictures of scenes shot with different films using different techniques, and how they made them look that way. thanks Zach
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted October 3, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted October 3, 2004 "Image Control" by Gerald Hirschfeld is an excellent book on shooting with filters. It's out-of-print currently but you may find a copy. "Film Lighting" by Kris Malkiewicz has some good chapters on image manipulation using filters, film processing, etc. Any references to film stocks would be out of date though.
