rob spence
Hi I have an old original , self purchased, copy of avid xpress 3.5 which I would like to start using again, can I upgrade so it will work on osx10.4.10 ? Are upgrades free with avid? Or what is the highest operating system that I can operate 3.5 on ? and would I be losing any important features by doing this? many thanks rob spence
Premium Member Hal Smith Posted November 26, 2007 Premium Member Share Posted November 26, 2007 I know nothing from nothing about MACS but I do know AVID upgrades aren't free. Hop on AVID's website and email them with your exact version number to get upgrade prices. I upgraded my V3.5 over a couple of years in several steps to the latest AVID Xpress Pro for about $750 which is a lot cheaper than having bought Xpress Pro outright. My Xpress 3.5 was an educational version but the upgrades "washed" that out and now it's a regular commercial version.
