Tim Hawkins
Hi everyone, I was just wondering how much work needs to be done on an H-16 to shoot single perf - is it just a matter of removing the loop guides like the K3 or is it more complicated than that? Cheers Tim
Mike Lary
Rex models are set up for single perf. If you have a non-reflex, it may or may not be depending on the year it was made. Look at the sprocket wheels. If you see two sets of sprocket pins, you can't run single perf. I know someone who took a dremel tool and ground off the unneeded pins and he had no problems running single perf after that. That's a messing endeavor, however, and you'll get plenty metal dust floating around. Best to just spend another fifty bucks or so and get an older model RX. Clive Tobin
Hi everyone,I was just wondering how much work needs to be done on an H-16 to shoot single perf - is it just a matter of removing the loop guides like the K3 or is it more complicated than that? Cheers Tim Lots of H-16 non-reflex cameras are perfectly happy with single perf film. The beginning serial number that was factory set up for single perf is mentioned on a sidebar in my Identifying Your Bolex articles on my website: http://www.tobincinemasystems.com/page75.html
