Freya Black Posted January 12, 2008 Share Posted January 12, 2008 (edited) I'm trying to find a step up ring for a lens I have but it seems like the front of the lens has a 45mm filter thread! This seems really weird. I've tried a 44mm and it seems quite a bit too small and I've tried a 46mm and that seems too big, in fact 46mm seems to be the size of the barrel itself. Can this lens really have a 45mm thread or is there something else between 44 and 46mm that might be worth trying? From what I can tell 45mm is an incredibly rare filter thread size. The other option seems to be to epoxy a step up ring of some description to the barrel but that's not my favoured option if I can at all avoid it.
