Nathan D. Lee
I am working for a school that recently inherited a Arri BLIII Evolution with P+S Techniks modifications. We received the body and some support but no batteries. We have several 28 volt batteries and I know the camera takes 24 volts. AC-ing in the past I recall having to use a power adapter to deal with some voltage variations on BL's (I think) I have rented before. Can anyone refresh my memory on this? Do I need to get a adapter so as not to slowly burn out the electronics? I am not the greatest when it comes to voltage and battery issues. Thanks Nathan
Nathan D. Lee
Okay I feel like a fool. It took me all of 2 minutes to figure this out after I posted on this forum. The answer is here: http://www.pstechnik.de/en/35-bl-evolution-body-movement.php The camera will take 20 to 28 Volts. Sorry to clutter up the forum. Premium Member Chris Keth Posted February 13, 2008 Premium Member Share Posted February 13, 2008 I would just get the correct batteries. 24 volt is an easy to come by standard. It's not worth messing with adapters and whatnot that might not be correct and could damage the camera.
