Brown usually only comes in handy when trying to blend something in with other subjects like wood or rusty metal, but then that's more of an art department issue anyway. I once had to rig a flicker gag for a woodburning heater that would appear on camera, so I covered up the bulbs with some crumpled up Opal and sprayed it with black streaks-n-tips to make it look like embers. I love to keep multiple colors on hand for use in varying lighting, quickly eliminating reflection on metal, or quick production design.
