AndrewDale
I was wondering what if any difference any of you have found when using the photoflex or chimera softboxes. I've used the chimeras before and love them, but a gaffer friend of mine uses the photoflex versions and I was curious if anyone has had any problems or issues with either. Thanks a bunch. robert duke
It is like comparing a Caddy to a toyota. They both get the job done. but the chimera boxes are much beefier and heat resistant. the quality of the photoflex is good but not as good as Chimera. I own a couple of the photoflex boxes and like them but would love to have been able to buy Chimera. The biggest problem I have found is Size options and heat resistance. Oh and the bag they pack into is kinda cheap and cheezy.
Derek Shandonay
If you have the options between the two go with Chimera. Better quality, photoflex is more for beginners.
timHealy
Use whatever you have available. In the end no one is going to wonder which one you used when watching your film. Best Tim
