When lighting for Varicam shooting overcranked footage at 60fps do you need to add light to compensate for the frame rate change? Should I light the scene with the camera in the 60fps mode for monitoring purposes?

Thanks!

Yes, and of course with the shutter set to your desired angle / speed as well.

It is actually quite simple as you can see the effect directly on the monitor. Fast frame rate means that each frame is exposed to light for less time and therefore less bright. The difference between 24p and 60p is 1.5 stops. No need to adjust the shutter.
