On Saturday 22nd November at the Islington Mill, Salford, onsuper8.org will be joining forces with the Salford Film Festival to present "Super 8 in a Digital World" a day of workshop and screenings presenting the best in contemporary Super 8 and discussing the merits of our beloved format. At the 2pm workshop we'll present an introduction to, and an illustration of the possibilities of this classic medium as a powerful addition to the modern filmmaker?s creative arsenal. We show some classic clips and best of what's around in the format to inspire and whet the appetite. Later at around 7pm we'll present a programme combining some great Super 8 films submitted direct to the festival, the best of Cambridge Super 8 Festival 2008 and the Cannes bakers dozen from this year's straight 8 - all interspersed with some chat and Q 'n' A.
