greg bobier Posted November 18, 2004 Share Posted November 18, 2004 Just found your forum and its great! and just to get my newbie dumb question out of the way...Ill ask this We are looking at shooting our next short film and are looking at shootuing it in 16mm- weve done this enough in digital and want to try this in film we have acquired a bolex h16- and are good to go so my question any advice- any thing special i need - any thought (related to shooting with a bolex- i undersatand the basics, lightening and all that) thanks : :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Premium Member Nathan Milford Posted November 18, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted November 18, 2004 If you're not recording sound, don't have any takes longer than 20 seconds or so and don't require modern (for the most part) lenses then you're aces. Otherwise the camera is not ideal unless you have a blimp\barney or sound blankets to throw over it and have the motor instead of the crank.
