Michael Chobot
Hey everyone, I am about to graduate and I plan on moving to LA during the summer. I enjoy working with protools and am comfortable with the program. I have been using it now for almost a year on school projects. My goal is to work in post production sound professionally, and recently I have been thinking about becoming certified as a protools operator or expert, in hopes that it may help me get a better job quicker once I graduate. For all the professionals on this site, I was wondering what your thoughts were on this. Would this be beneficial for a student to do right out of college or more a waste of money? How much water does "Protools Operator" on a resume' hold in Los Angeles? Also, how difficult is it to break into the are of sound design on feature length films? Thanks a lot, Mike
