Will Cummock
i'm pretty good at procrastinating and spend a fair amount of my time 'researching' on youtube. i've found it really hard to find great super 8 stuff on there- the number of views and the highest ratings seem to have little bearing on quality. occasionally someone will send me an absolute gem that has been up for ages and only been watched 100 or so times. so, i thought i would try and canvas some opinions and find some great stuff to reference by asking people on here to list three great bits of super 8 film on youtube. any contributions would be hugely appreciated! to start things off here are three i really like: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YlBvakaleJk http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=G9_VMngcubs http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=wR3xuwjqXng will and here's one i worked on (because i'm an egomaniac) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2biU8FGTVpE&...re=channel_page
Max Zenk
Hey there, I have only one super8 film favorited on youtube, and it isn't even a pure work. But it's really inspirational (at least for me :))
Anthony Schilling
Yes, with youtube my films have been watched between 50-4500 times... but I noticed a super 8 video labled "test footage" with 30,000 views because there was a girl on the icon. Thats the secret. Someone mentioned Vimeo being more for artists and film makers, which I agree... and the quality is so much better-

Steve Daniels
Hey Ray I really dug your music vid. The look and color treatment you gave the film was nice. Did you use an anamorphic lens adapter? Thanks for the "gibbering horror of howard ghormley" love
Ray Friera
Hey RayI really dug your music vid. The look and color treatment you gave the film was nice. Did you use an anamorphic lens adapter? Thanks for the "gibbering horror of howard ghormley" love Thanks for your kind words, Steve. Video was shot using standard super8 zoom lens framed for 1.85:1. Unfortunately the anamorphic lens for super8 format is hard to come by.
