advice: harsh light, hazy colour look

Recommended Posts

Hi, im in the process of devloping a short and i have a certain idea of the kind of images i would like to achieve but i don't know how to achieve them. I will be shooting with either a conon xh a1 with sgpro adaptor and FD lenses or the same but with a HVX.

It's a rather ambiguous way to explain the image so if my attempt at a description is no good, ignore this thread but if you have any ideas, i would appreciate your input. Basically, i want an image with really harsh light, lens flare and all. A sort of warm diffused tone without looking like a bad sitcom dream sequence. I want warm, bright light but obviously not for the colours to be lost. Tell me if i am being too ambitious, but i figure its best to start with the best possible idea and work from there.

i unfortunately cant think of any immediate examples from films. if you think of any that might apply, suggest them and that might help the situation a little

cheers.
