Premium Member Tim O'Connor Posted February 3, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted February 3, 2009 I saw this on the Filmtools site in the slates section (I think that Filmtools used to advertise on here but just looked and don't see them.) There is a clear description of this slate but I still don't get the point exactly. Have any ACs on here used a so called "reverse laminate" slate? It looks the same on the front but the added feature is that... you can write on the back? Is it that simple? I didn't see a back view of the slate. Thanks. Premium Member Chris Keth Posted February 3, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted February 3, 2009 Markers will stain the laminate film over time. Putting it on the back just ensures the slate stays erasable and reasonably clean. If you're getting a slate, I'd just get an engraved one. The laminated ones peel over time.
