Matt Cabinum
I am an AC that is starting off and the majority of my work comes from music videos right now. Is there anything online or off that verifies these credentials? Recently I tried to register with the Film Commission in my state and they said they could not verify my credentials, my guess was that this was because there's really no credits published with these videos when they air other than the director and artist. I know that the majority of jobs will and do come from those that I meet but I'm about to move to LA and will be landing with lots of time spent on music videos and I'm worried about what will happen when people in LA want a resume and most of my credits will be from music videos. If there is anyone who's line of work consists mostly of the same, I would really appreciate some suggestions. Thanks all- Edited March 3, 2009 by Matt Cabinum
Premium Member Brad Grimmett Posted March 4, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted March 4, 2009 This is the only thing I know about: mvdbase I haven't looked at it in a while and the last time I did it was very inaccurate and didn't have a lot of videos, but maybe that has changed. Matt Workman
Also VideoStatic.com is a blog / new site for music videos. If you are looking for AC work on music video you just need to keep a list of Artists/DPs you've worked with for your resume. Its a small world and there aren't many of them.
