Dennis Goble
I know of someone with a model H16 which he thinks was wound too tight. Anyway it will not run now. Anyone know of any secrets to release it? Don't want to damage it but there must be some way to relieve the tension. Thanks Dennis
Premium Member Bernie O'Doherty Posted March 6, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted March 6, 2009 Try this : Turn the winding handle very slowly in the wind-up direction (counter- clockwise ), maybe a 5 degree turn, and hold it in that very tensioned state. Take your rewind arm- the little one for rewinding the film- and slowly move it backwards and forwards. Now let the main large motor-wind handle go and press the on-off button WHILE STILL ROTATING THE REWIND BUTTON. Hopefully this will let the gears release and move forward.
