Matteo Cocco
Hey guys Has anyone of you tried to shoot sync sound with the Arri 235 or 435. Is there a way to "blimp" the camera in order to shoot with sync sound. I need a light camera for handheld work and can´t afford the LT.... Thanks for replying! Premium Member Brad Grimmett Posted March 10, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted March 10, 2009 I've actually shot sync sound with the 235, but it was a big noisy fight scene, so it doesn't really count. On the other hand, I've heard from a couple friends who have worked on a few Indian films, that all they shoot on are 435's. I guess they do a lot of ADR, I'm not sure. I'm sure it's fine on longer lenses and in other situations like exteriors, but I wouldn't want to do it on a small quiet set.
Annie Wengenroth
What about a Moviecam SL or even a Compact? It might be cheaper...
