Sebas Pelletier
What is the filter they used to get that look on Titanic? I heard james cameron (in the comments of the dvd) saying it's a 81B Filter. Is it from Tiffen? and do you know the light they used?

An 81B is used to make a slight correction in color temperature. Eric Halberstadt
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted April 19, 2009 Premium Member Share Posted April 19, 2009 They used ProMist diffusion (I think the #1/4) for the period scenes. Color correction filters don't really matter in this case, you can do whatever you want. You don't need pale warming filters to warm up an image. They used a package of HMI's, tungstens, and Kinoflos, etc.
