anamorphic lenses on mini35

Hey,

 

I'm thinking about using a anamorphic lens with a mini35 set on a dvx100 for an upcoming project.

 

Does anyone know a way to unsqueeze the image on the set?

 

Using the 16:9 button on the monitor will of course help a bit, but is not a total solution

To display the "unsqueezed" image correctly you need to digitally modify the picture being fed to a normal monitor.

 

There are some models that have this feature built in, or you can purchase a converter. Look here:

These puppies are expensive, Around $1300, and although very close, are not 100% accurate. If you are going to do this on a long term basis, I'd suggest a properly calibrated monitor.
