Matt Dennie Posted May 12, 2009 Share Posted May 12, 2009 I was wondering how hard it would be coming out of film school and trying to get a job that will pay enough to keep me afloat. Right now I am thinking about working towards being a DP. Also, if nobody kills me for asking two different questions on the same thread, is there a typical "ladder" you need to climb up towards being a DP? Many people have come to the job many different ways. As for how to stay afloat doing it... it's often a profession of attrition and you need to survive until the point where the quality of your craft gets you the quality of rate on the quantity of jobs you need.
