Marco Leavitt
Do these look like adapters or complete lenses? And why would anybody shoot anamorphic 16mm? It would make sense for video, but these things look really old. Or are they for 35mm? I didn't know Eclair made a 35mm camera. I find these things really curious. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3859070926&rd=
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted December 14, 2004 Premium Member Share Posted December 14, 2004 Dyaliscopes were a French copy of the standard 2X CinemaScope lenses, made in the 1950's and used on such classics as "The 400 Blows" and "Shoot the Piano Player." Eclair made a 35mm/16mm switchable camera back then called the CM3 or Cameflex. Some were later converted to 2-perf Techniscope and used on films like "THX-1138" and "American Graffitti".
