I am not sure about the 2B vs the 2C - but there is quite a bit of info on this post re variable shutters for the 2C

So many accessories have been mixed up the only way to tell is the camera body - There are very few (like 50) 3C's but they are spotable by the adjustable viewfinder - they also had a very useful handgrip motor that runs crystal - which fits 2C's

I haven't seen any variable-angle 2C's, but that doesn't mean they don't exist (they did for various 2B incarnations)... it would presumably be a simple exercise to swap shutters on these cameras. The 2C is described on that page as having a larger, brighter viewfinder, for the option of viewing expanded anamorphic images (I've seen 2C's with a de-anamorphiser in the door).

I don't think it's that simple, because there's a mechanism on the camera that lets you vary the shutter opening - you'd have to modify the camera more extensively than just putting in the variable shutter. Perhaps someone does variable shutter mods...
