I am thinking of getting a Pro35 to use with a Sony PDW-700 XDCAM HD camera. I can afford (just!) the Pro35 used, but would need to use Canon FD L series primes that I already have. My main concern is the my widest lens is a FD 14mm 2.8L which will become a 22.8mm (Crop factor is x1.63 from full frame 35 to Academy - as long as I have that right) This is around 7mm in a 2/3" lens. Not that wide. I can't see any other options for getting a wider focal length...PL is out as it's too expensive. I'm looking for the film shallow DOF, thus the Pro35.
