Premium Member Phil Rhodes Posted August 18, 2010 Premium Member Posted August 18, 2010 This happens on many types of camera. It's caused by the rolling shutter technique used on the Red's sensor, which you can read about here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolling_shutter Simply, the camera reads out the picture in rows of pixels, in sequence. This takes a certain amount of time. Anything in the shot that happens quickly, such as a rotating wheel, camera flash, or lightning, will reveal this. There is no fix. P
Premium Member John Sprung Posted August 18, 2010 Premium Member Posted August 18, 2010 There is no fix. .... No fix in production. The way to go on Red is to shoot without the flashes, then fake them in post. -- J.S.
