Michael Schroers
The Kern Switar 1,1 / 26 mm is a very wanted lens and it's very expensive on the second hand market. I filmed with such a lens a few month ago and I wasn't very happy with the results: Very low sharpness and low contrasts. But the colors seems to be very vivid. OK, it's a very fast lense, but whats so special about this lens that it's such expensive ? Thanks Edited September 24, 2010 by Michael Schroers
Michael Schroers
Very low sharpness and low contrasts. But the colors seems to be very vivid. I mean compared to the older Switar 1,4 / 25 mm (non preset).

This lens is designed to work optimally on the Bolex H16 Reflex series of cameras only. On any other camera you can expect poor results, especially wide open. If in fact you were using a Bolex RX, then you must have a malfunctioning sample. Cheers, Jean-Louis
