High video lever from the A-Minima

Wondering if anyone have any advice to offer:

I have a no-brand miniature UHF-transmitter that I use for film-and videocameras.

When hoking it up to an Aaton A-Minima lately, the image was blowing out the highlights like crazy, although when the monitor was hard-wired the signal was normal. tested it with various other sources and monitors, and it seeems it is only the A-Minima video tap that has this effect...

Could adding a resistor fix the problem?

Seeking help...

Hi,

Probably an impedance mismatch with the el-cheapo transmitter, although the video tap would also likely be a bit wrong for this to happen. Could be tricky to fix - you could try buffering the signal through a video distribution amp.

Call Girvan at Abel. He's our electronics guy and could no doubt help you. You can shoot him an e-mail (girvan@) and he might get it this weekend otherwise call him after 10 am eastern on Monday.

What No-Brand transmitter is it?
