Frank Peeters
Hi there, I recently had a chance to get hold of a vintage Kowa Anamorphic (see attachment photo). It has a rather small rear thread (39mm) ... so I was wondering if I could fit it somehow on the thread of a 50mm nikon lens? Is that possible with step-down rings, or are there problems? Also, maybe it's possible to mount a leica lens (with 39mm thread) to the canon 7d? An lastly, it seems like you can reverse-mount an anamorphic lens? Anyone got some tips & advice? Mark Dunn
It will vignette at short focal lengths. Not many SLR lenses have a filter thread under 52mm. so you see the problem. I've tried the 8Z, which has a thread of around 51mm (series VII, I believe), so it works a bit better, but this always was the problem with the smaller anamorphics.
