BILLY PAUL Posted February 11, 2005 Share Posted February 11, 2005 Les Bosher is upgrading, as I write the missive, my Bolex EL Series 2 to Super 16. 2 Questions: If I have a 25mm Switar, a 10mm switar and a POE 16-100, do I need the Bolex PL to C mount? and second question... Do I need to get the 400 magazine and MM motor I just bought on Ebay to be converted to Super 16 format like the camera body? Les Bosher says no. Jesse Chambliss, the Bolex U.S.A. Dealer says yes, at a cost of $250, so the magazine and rollers don't scratch the film.... What do you guys think? Bp. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

About the adapter...figure out what mount your lenses have And figure out what mount your camera has (it's a Bolex Bayonet mount) And then see if you need an adapter to use those lenses. The motor doesn't need to be converted to S16 It runs at 24fps on R16 and S16...its function stays the same About the magazines test them out, if they scratch your film They might need to be converted to S16, if they don't scratch, well then your good.
