Premium Member Vincent Sweeney Posted February 15, 2011 Premium Member Share Posted February 15, 2011 Has anyone had experience with Stone Cinema's PL lenses? They have rehoused Contax/Zeiss primes with prices close to CP.2's. Just curious.
Mitch Gross
I think these are much older lenses.
Premium Member Stephen Williams Posted February 15, 2011 Premium Member Share Posted February 15, 2011 I think these are much older lenses. As in Contax Zeiss, mainly the same as the Ultracam lenses.
Premium Member Vincent Sweeney Posted February 16, 2011 Author Premium Member Share Posted February 16, 2011 I question if they can be serviced. He said I could come by and test them out. I might do that next month. Any more info on the Ultracams Stephen? I'm not familiar with them.
Premium Member Vincent Sweeney Posted February 16, 2011 Author Premium Member Share Posted February 16, 2011 Saw a pic of the conversion. The focus marks are very close together and not spaced well at all. They look useless to me for FF.

I own 2 which very ocasionally get used. They got discussed before here http://www.cinematography.com/index.php?showtopic=27132&st=0&p=203173&hl=ultracam&fromsearch=1entry203173 http://www.cinematography.com/index.php?showtopic=33004&st=0&p=247406&hl=ultracam&fromsearch=1entry247406
