Andres Salaberri
Hi everyone; Does someone know how the equipment offered at indisystem works? I'm working in Uruguay teaching kind of an introduction to filmmaking. As we are not a film shchool, our budget for equipment is not very high. Besides, we have a 5D Mark II with a 100 mm 2.8 macro; a 70-200 mm 2.8 and a 24-70 mm 2.8. We also do have a basic range of lights (from arri 150 to 1k, plus a couple os kinoflos), chimera, flags... What we mainly do is basic exercises on filmmaking ending with low budget short films. Everything is focused on learning, so we would like to add some tools but we don't have much money. It seems to me that what is offered at indisystem.com could work pretty well for this, but I'd very much appreciate some other opinions. Thanks a lot. Premium Member Vincent Sweeney Posted February 26, 2011 Premium Member Share Posted February 26, 2011 Students are pretty hard on equipment and the cheaper stuff won't last long. You will see even the cheaper schools here using equipment like Fisher dollies, Arri HMI's and Sachtler tripods because of this. If you can baby the gear, somehow, maybe it will last a couple years. Andres Salaberri
Hi, Vincent; I totally agree with you about the students. Beeing so concerned about the budget, we forgot the basics. Thanks.
