Tristan Maxwell
I keep coming across abbreviations for film stocks in the forum e.g. "use the tungsten stock ('19) if you want a blue-ish look" What does the ('19) stand for?
Premium Member Adrian Sierkowski Posted April 18, 2011 Premium Member Share Posted April 18, 2011 '19 is Kodak 500T Vision3, truncated from either 5219 or 7219 the 35mm/16mm stock number. Both Kodak and Fuji use a 4 number code for a stock the first 2 showing the size (16mm or 35mm) and last 2 for stock.. I Don't know Fuji's off of the top of my head but Kodaks would be: 01, 50D VISION 2 05 250D VISION 2 (Discontinued) 07 250 D VISION 3 12 100T VISION 2 (Discontinued) 13 200T VISION 3 17 200T VISION 2 (Discontinued) 18 500T VISION 2 (Discontinued) 19 500T VISION 3 60 500T VISION 2 30 500T NON-VISION 29 500T VISION 2 EXPRESSION 85 100 REVERSAL 22 BW NEG 66 BW REVERSAL Some of those have been discontinued, but may still be around aftermarket. All of the stocks and their numbers are available from the respective websites. Fuji stocks, while they have a number, are generally reffered to by their name such as : Eterna 500 [T] Eterna 400 [T] Eterna 250 [D] Eterna Vivid 500 (called Vivid 500) T Vivid 160 T Reala 500 D Eterna 250 T and so on. . . http://www.fujifilm.com/products/motion_picture/products/#negative

Al DeLory
For FUJI brand film, the stock numbers begin with 85xx for 35mm and 86xx for 16mm. For example, 8592, Fuji 500D 35mm or 8692, Fuji 500D 16mm.
