yes and no real advantage to shooting straight to pro res...

Yes, it works. But the only reason we did it was the shortage of SxS cards.

Why not get a Ki Pro Mini so you can stay in ProRes?

 

IIRC, the Mini's had all been grabbed by Sony shoots that couldn't find HDSR.... Pilot season plus a Tsunami.... It woulda been better, the Mini is 10 bits instead of 8. But it worked out OK....
