Kim Sargenius
There is a 2mm Hex key nut near the centre of the mirror -- turn gently until the shutter appears from behind the mirror, it has markings at (from memory) 172.5, 90, 45. Guest Bruce Frye
Hello, not all Arri IIIs had variable shutters, If yours does, use a 2mm allen wrench to adjust it by rotation of the screw, (on the shutter hub) but you must press down gently on the screw to disengage it, once you have moved the shutter to the desired angle (settings engraved on the variable wing) allow the screw to raise back up or the wing will not be locked in place.
