ktabes
im making a feature over the summer using a dvx100 and im wondering what is the best technique for recording the sound, or what kind of mic should i use? second, I was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on filming in the dark, i want you to be able to see what is going on but still have it look dark, most of the movie takes place at night. any help will be useful. Premium Member drew_town Posted February 24, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted February 24, 2005 I'd suggest lighting with back light only or back light with a soft fill. I think this technique looks good on dv. I've actually got a still that's lit somewhat like that on the site here: http://www.cinematography.com/forum2004/in...?showtopic=4753 I used an XL1s but the dvx is a good camera too. Sennheiser boom mics are nice. Good luck.
