Jonathan Spear
Hey all, I'm thinking about going with super-8 for my first project. I was wondering if anyone has any sample footage or framegrabs from films shot on S-8 -- I'm trying to get an idea of the quality, grain and texture of S8mm because there's a pretty big chance it will suit the story perfectly. Thanks, JonS

Jonathan Spear
Hey Scott, First off -- awesome clip. That is literally exactly what I'm after. I love that old school film look and your forest EXT.'s are gorgeous as well as the actors and the lighting. Great work, IMHO. Which camera were you using? Which stock did you use for the forest scene? Any recommendations for cameras, accesories, optics? Once again man, great work -- and thanks for the links. I'm definately going to give Super8 a shot... Cheers, JonS
Premium Member Alessandro Machi Posted February 26, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted February 26, 2005 You might want to research the kind of film projects USC and UCLA require their first year students to do and experiment before you begin using a lot of resources for your "serious" attempt in Super-8. Rick Palidwor
There are stome stills from my super-duper 8 feature Sleep Always at www.friendlyfirefilms.ca . No clips yet unfortunately but if you email me (off the site) I'll send some short clips of some recent super-duper 8 music videos. Rick
