Daniel Lee
Has anyone shot Kodak 50D at sunrise. I really want to capture the beautiful sun rising near a castle with as little grain as possible. im shooting 16mm. the kodak code is 7201 thoughts p Don't overexpose the hell out of it. You have +6 stops in reflectivity from your chosen exposure before the shoulder iirc (it should show you on the tech sheet). You want lots of foreground detail? Or a golden sun disc with everything sihouetted? Also is this going to be a time lapse? Edited July 19, 2011 by Daniel Lee
Phil Thompson
It's background plate for digital matte extension. Going to extend castle and add background city.hope it's a clear morning. My lens is zeiss zoom f2. I was planning on shooting wide open. Stupid? Or should I use vivid 160 with an 85 ? ..,, I'm scared

Daniel Lee
Why are you shooting a background plate for digital matte painting on 16mm? When I was shooting some S-16mm with 7201, just as the first light comes through it's already 5.6/180/25 then need a heavy ND soon after. And I wasn't shooting the sky into the sun.
