Ivan Lebedev Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 What is the best way to process siv. files and prepare them for color correction and post (da vinci, baselight, nukoda)??? I've heard there are couple of ways of doing that : siv-dpx and siv-dng-dpx... There is an opinion that the second way is better(using after effects), so what are your thoughts about that guys and particularly what soft is better?
Ari Presler Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Baselight and Speedgrade have native support for SIV files. The SIV files can be exported to CineformRAW (uncompressed or Coded) or DNG files using SiliconDVR. If a client has not yet recorded their footage, I would suggest they record To Uncompressed QT which is now supported by the Cineform codec.
Emanuel A Guedes Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 How long, Ari... Nice to see you still kicking your business up a notch :-) go blues, go ;-)
