Premium Member Adam Brown Posted February 8, 2012 Premium Member Share Posted February 8, 2012 Hey, Does anyone out there have any examples of the triangular-shaped bokeh that these lenses produce? I've been searching and searching to death and I can't find any screen grabs or videos online which showcase these lenses' unique bokeh properly at the right apertures. I was curious if any owners of these lenses had any of their work online where I could take a look at "the look." Any links would be helpful! Thanks very much! Charlie Peich
Hey, Does anyone out there have any examples of the triangular-shaped bokeh that these lenses produce? Adam, Check out Taxi Driver. Shot with Arri 35 BL and Zeiss lenses. Look at driving shots at :52 and at 1:08 in this trailer. It goes by quick. If you watch the complete film, you'll spot more, but you have to focus on the bokeh in the shots, not the story. LOL. Very subtle. http://www.imdb.com/...y/vi2571475481/ A DVD or Blu-ray would be the better way to see them. Great film! Charlie
Premium Member Adam Brown Posted February 9, 2012 Author Premium Member Share Posted February 9, 2012 Ah, thanks so much, Charlie! Had no idea, but there were several shots in that trailer that made them clearly visible. Indeed, such a good movie. Gotta love classic trailers too! Thanks again!
