Ivan Fucich
Hello, this is my first time on the forum, so I apologize for the amateur question. I have recently purchased a Bell and Howell 1235 XL Filmosonic Super 8 Camera just to toy around with to help get some B-Roll shots with. I'm about to purchase some Kodak Ektachrome 100D Film, which i believe is silent, and i was curious, being how this is a "sound" camera, will the silent film run smoothly through it? Should I just be able to turn the camera on, load the film and begin to shoot? Being how Super 8 is quite the pricey medium, i feel that asking is just playing it better safe than sorry. Thanks again! -Ivan F
Mark Dunn
Sound cartridges haven't been made for years. They were deeper and fitted around the recording head. The silent cartridge fits in above the sound head just as it would in a silent camera so you can ignore the differences.
