charles g clark
Good evening all, Been a reader for a while and since the bolex from ebay arrived today along with some 16 from fuji(8672) thought id ask a couple of questions for some help before i shoot my first roll.Been using 35mm slrs for a while so im fairly happy with creative choices just champing at the bit to roll some tests! However before that i need to ask... 1) if anyone knows anywhere in the uk that processes 16 in small loads?(preferably with telecine to dv facilities or push comes to shove 16mm prints for projection) and 2) how does 8672 handle low light?anywhere near as good as 7218 or too grainy? Thanks in advance chaps Charles
Rik Andino
2) how does 8672 handle low light?anywhere near as good as 7218 or too grainy? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's 500ASA just like 7218 so it can handle low light pretty good. 8672 not as sharp as 7218 but still very good... You should try Eterna500 8673 it's Fuji's version of fine-grain film As for a lab in the UK I dunno cause I've never been there. Good Luck Edited March 16, 2005 by Rik Andino
Huw Jenkins
Charles, the cheapest place i have found is film lab north (hnd@filmlabnorth.co.uk). they have no minimum roll cost and quoted me 25p a foot for processing and telecine to dvd. for dv, you would probably have to add the difference in stock cost. good luck with the filming!
