5279/18 in Super 8

I heard a few rumors that either 5279 or 5218 was to be offered in Super 8 from Kodak. I know "Pro" 8mm has them but they only sell with processing included, at quite a markup. I have a potential project where I'm considering these filmstocks, which is why I'm inquiring.

Hi,

 

I was considering taking a camera to NAB this year, and since the only pocket-sized camera I have access to is a Chinon super-8, I was going to pick up some K-40 and see what it could do.

 

Surely the existence of an '18 stock for super-8 makes a lot of sense?

Don't think it's a rumor. I was told specifically by a Kodak rep that the '18 stock and the new '17 (200T) stock would soon be available in S-8. Don't know the timeline, but they are on the way. George, why not just call down to 31st St. and ask?

Haven't called that place in ages, I'm so used to buying everything from Raw Stock on 26th st!
