No access to 35mm projection

My town has three cinemas, two are big chains and one is an art house cinema/modern art venue. The art house cinema, which was playing prints of older films on 35mm, as well as new, has recently converted all their equipment and film library to digital - they will no longer be showing any films in 35mm. They charged a little bit more than the big chains across town and I didn't mind paying that bit extra, though now they have lost my custom. If I want to see a film print I would need to travel 50 miles.

Anyone live somewhere that has no film projection left? Or anyone built their own little 35mm film screen at home or in a garage?

The little place where I used to work is about to get rid of its 35mm gear. It isn't really a choice at this point; practically all new films distribute mainly or even solely digitally.

Unfortunately, unless I can find a home for it, the 35 projection gear is likely to go in a skip. The market is, for obvious reasons, saturated.
