Jannis Geronymakis
Hello everyone, I have an eclair NPR with a perfect tone motor on it. When does the motor run crystal sync? When the red light is on or off? I am a little confused after reading different topics end texts.
Premium Member Will Montgomery Posted October 16, 2012 Premium Member Share Posted October 16, 2012 For most cameras it is when the light is OFF. The light is on as it gets up to speed. Think of the red light as, "there's a problem."
Jannis Geronymakis
I have just been reading the manual and it says: "The above included motors include a pilot lamp which goes off as soon as the motor does not run at synchro speed." I am really confused now to be honest. The motors in the manual are indicated with codes which I do not understand.
Premium Member Will Montgomery Posted October 17, 2012 Premium Member Share Posted October 17, 2012 "The above included motors include a pilot lamp which goes off as soon as the motor does not run at synchro speed." It has to get up to speed first, so my inclination is to think this manual is wrong; maybe a translation thing. However, the man to ask would be Bernie at Super 16, Inc. as he's the Eclair god (little g). Look for his contact info at his website and I'm sure he'd be happy to help you with it. Tom Hepburn
I have an Eclair ACL. I also copied this from a manual: "Should the operating speed of the motor fall below the working level, then a warning light on the side will come on indicating loss of synchronisation. This condition applies if the output power of the battery is low." Tom
