Jayne Cassidy
Hi guys, I recently purchased an Ilford-Elmo C-200. I'm a complete newb when it comes to these cameras and it didn't come with the instruction manual so I have a small question about batteries. Anything I've found on the internet tells me the camera takes 4 AA batteries, however, there's nothing to keep them in place, they just rattle about and the camera won't work. I found a webpage on how to clean and maintain the camera, in one of the images the battery part was opened so I compared mine with the image and nothing seems to be missing or broken. Anyone know what could be up?
Steve Broback
I will check mine when I get home but I am pretty sure that the batteries fit in a plastic case with pos/neg contacts. You might have to buy a battery holder and solder some contacts on it - or return it and buy one that includes the battery case. Steve
