Film Website?

Hello, as I have said in some of my other posts, I am a Director, slowly stepping foward into the complex world of a DP. One of the greatest challenges facing me at the moment, my lack of knowledge when choosing a particular film stock. Is there a website or a book, available that explains the various film stocks, perhaps providing a sample mpeg, so as to give one an example of a particular stock's qualities (i.e. grain, saturation, etc...) I would like to be able to make a decent assesment of the lighting situation on set, so that I may choose the best stock for the job. (Specifically my upcoming shoot on Sat.)

Thank You

Even better would be to go to Kodak's offices in NYC or Los Angeles; they have great demo films of most of their stocks that they can project for you.

The differences between modern stocks are so small that they are hard to tell apart on a TV set compared to print projection on a big screen.
