Forget JJ Abrams' bloated Hollywood reboot, this 30 minute non-profit fan film DP'd and co-written by my talented work colleague Bryan Meakin in Brisbane deserves a plug. It's taken them more than 10 years, with literally no budget - just a lot of people willing to donate their services for the fun of it - yet they managed to shoot it on film and achieve some pretty spectacular production values.
