Arriflex 16S to S/B Conversion

Is it possible to convert an Arriflex 16S to a 16S/B simply by swapping the turret?

The FFD of both mounts is the same. The bore is the same. The only real difference is the broached stainless steel mount on the B. It would probably work. But it's probably less work to just get an extra S/B. They can't be all that expensive.

Yes, you can convert an Arriflex 16S to 16S/B by putting an S/B turret on an S. But it really needs to be fitted by a technician who has the tools to set the FFD and the ground glass on the camera after the swap, otherwise the images you capture on the film may be out of focus.
