James Martin
Hi all, Does anyone know the distance the rear elements protrude on the Angenieux Optimo DP series of lenses? I am thinking of using one on my F35, but you cannot use lenses with rear elements protruding more than 31.5mm into the body. I remember finding a diagram somewhere which showed one of the lenses was just about OK, but the other wasn't. Now I'm damned if I can find it. Would appreciate any help. Thanks! Premium Member Dom Jaeger Posted July 14, 2014 Premium Member Share Posted July 14, 2014 The 16-42 protrudes about 27mm behind the mount, so it should be fine. The original 30-80 went back about 32mm, which was also a problem with certain RED Epics, where it would just hit the OLPF cover and leave a circular mark. Angenieux had to alter the protrusion (and many early ones were modified) to only extend about 30.5mm behind the mount.
