Bob Hayes
I am shooting a film in Thailand. 50 cycles, 20 volts. I?m using Kino flows. I?m shooting 35mm, 24 fps. I want to shoot 172.8 degree shutter, 90 degree shutter, 45 degree shutter. I also want to shoot many different frame rates from 4 to 120 fps. Any concerns with flicker. How about if the genie isn?t sync. I don?t mind staying in the hmi flicker free windows. I actually starting filming Monday.
Premium Member David Mullen ASC Posted May 1, 2005 Premium Member Share Posted May 1, 2005 You should be fine -- Kinos are essentially "flicker-free". I don't know what the issues are if the ballasts are meant to be plugged into 60hz power though and whether a simple adaptor will suffice.
