Guest lonelyleap
hello, very excited about new NIZO 6080 purchase, only to find film is returning all black. So sent off camera to a highly recommended nizo repairman and the only i've heard of in germany, to fix what i thought would be a straight ligtmeter prob as lights in viewfinder weren't working. anyway repair guy has come back to me qouting 425 euros to replace electronic boarand as well as new lightmeter. breakdown is 189 euros for parts and 126 euros work and then post ontop! I understood it would be expensive and he does kinda have a monopoly on the market but does anyone know if this is a fair price? or am i getting the rip? any light on the subject would be greatly appreciated-other Nizo camera repairorators you can give me a link to would be great to? thankyou lonelyleap

How much is shipping? The thing about international shipping is usually the method just above the cheapest way is the best value. The cheapest way is actually by boat and will take way too long! Then for not too much more money, there is some kind of affordable air class that's not Fed-EX or UPS overnight. I would think shipping would be around 40-50 dollars max??? You might want to find out if you are getting a new board or if it is a repair to an existing board. In the big scheme of life, it's probably a reasonable repair. Have them check the drive belt to make sure that is not going to go bad a month after you get the camera back. Don't forget that Euro Dollars are presently valued at 1.30 the price of a dollar.
